ABOUT:
In 2022, Ruben Schalleij established Pollex Company with a heartfelt desire to assist groundbreaking and culturally impactful brands, independent artists, labels, and companies in making a significant impact while remaining true to their art and creativity.
Ruben's journey within the creative industry began as a musician at the age of 13 when he eagerly took part in music talent programs across the Netherlands, showcasing his own songs on stage. Throughout his teenage years, he honed his skills and developed into an accomplished artist and performer. This paved the way for an opportunity to join a Dutch mash-up band already touring the country. Playing on prominent festival stages, including the Zwarte Cross, and selling out club shows, Ruben witnessed the pinnacle of professionalism within the music industry. He realized that his true passion lay in the organizational aspect of creative projects.
Consequently, while pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Arts & Economics at the University of the Arts in Utrecht since 2018, he decided to embrace his role behind the scenes. His academic journey provided him with an extensive understanding of music rights, marketing, finance, art history, and various facets of the creative industry.
During his studies, Ruben embarked on a professional journey at companies like Day Four Management, Bloomer Records, Backboard and Nine And A Half. These experiences further expanded his knowledge in marketing, music releases, day-to-day operations, and long-term management. As he immersed himself in these fields, his expertise in marketing strategies and music management naturally flourished, ultimately leading to the inception of Pollex Company.
